How do we check the quality of our home care service?
We are committed to providing the best quality home care service. To do this, we continually check what we are doing, and talk with our staff and other organisations that have opportunities to see and judge our work. Above all, we listen to you and anyone acting on your behalf, taking your views very seriously.
We continually work towards improving the quality of our service through:
• Annual review of all areas of our home care service
• Annual plan for improvement and development of our home care service
• A Manager visiting you to review your care plan and asking your opinion of our service
• At least two monthly spot checks of Care Workers to witness care delivery by the Care Worker
• More frequent visits to witness care delivery when required, including when a Care Worker first starts with us
• After witnessing care delivery we ask you for your opinion of the service you receive
• Careful checks on the records we keep about you, including medication records and daily records of care and support provided
• Regular team meetings
• Regular appraisal and supervision meetings with each Care Worker
• Continual programme of training using feedback from you and the Care Workers
